The End of an Era

Activision has now officially announced that they will disband the Guitar Hero series. Apparently, due to a decline in its popularity, it no longer warrants the costs for music licenses and hardware manufacturing. A new game scheduled to be released in 2011 has bee scrapped.

However, there might be hope for fans of the games yet as experts feel relatively optimistic about a revival - possibly on the next generation of video game consoles.

To a certain extent I am glad. I  mean the series jumped the shark a long time ago and the quality of the song selection has been going downhill ever since 'World Tour'.

  8. They only care about the money, that's why most gamers hate them...is COD the only money printing franchise they have now?

  12. pretty scary that an industry giant like this would be canned. At the very least you'd think those spammy sports games would go first.
