The End Of Days - Are You Ready?

I only just heard about this, but it looks like the world is coming to an end. On Saturday. However, according to Anjeanette, it will take a few months until everybody is dead, so if you're feeling lucky, there's still plenty of time to procrastinate and push this thing into the back of your mind. I know I'm gonna do that.

So we may still have until late October until all the freaks who actually believe in this religious crap have to - once again - admit they fucked up the date of the apocalypse. Which of course doesn't mean they're all a bunch of delusional whackjobs. By no means. They are probably just your garden variety stupid person.

All of us, who, of course, know that the apocalypse is going to be brought about by zombies and to be completed in December 2012. I mean, you'd have to be crazy to believe anything else.

Ok, so this might be totally intentional, but even if it was, it would be the most funny and original thing to happen on the Simpsons since probably season 11 or something.

In the credits of yesterday's episode they misspelled Kristen Schaal's name as Kristen Schall and apologized by putting in this chalkboard gag. This might just be awesome enough to persuade me to give the show another chance.

This is a commercial for German electronics mail order company Conrad. Unfortunately, they only sell the parts you need to build this thing yourself so you'll have to build one yourself. Also, I bet that there's a law against this.



There is a short video showing the making of the device, as well as a list of the necessary parts and some instructions on this site (German). The Downside? All the parts are going to cost you about 780€ ($1,150).
