Three Zeros

Once upon a time there was a small town in Northern Germany. Some day they found they were in need of some office supplies and subsequently ordered 32 Euros worth of pens and paper and  such. Unfortunately they accidentally wired 32,000 € (32 THOUSAND!!) to the supply company.
Three months later they realized their mistake. Of course, by then the supply company had gone bankrupt and incapable of giving them a refund. Fear not though, citizens of Eutin, you should get back part of that money within the next 3 to 6 years.

If you ask me 31,968€ is just the right price for stupidity of these proportions.
